I am a Bachelor of IT student at Deakin University, as well as a musician, and artist, based in Bendigo, Victoria. I am extremely passionate about video games and gaming, and aspire to one day develop games of my own.
My introduction to video games was 1994’s Super Metroid. I remember spending countless hours with my older brother as we attempted to navigate the sprawling labyrinth that was the game’s world, the music and design dragging us into the experience, watching as a story unfolded around us. Since then I have spent countless nights exploring the worlds created by others. Though I am an avid reader of many kinds of fiction, the way a video game is able to pull you in and completely immerse you in its atmosphere by stimulating a multitude of senses is immensely more powerful to me. Though a great book provide amusement for hours, a good game can bring years of entertainment, as we seek to explore every aspect in our desire to fully digest the world provided to us.
Over the years, this fascination has fuelled my desire to create worlds and experiences of my own through the medium, to allow the ultimate exercise in creativity and self-expression.
